Biome Introduction
Biomes, biomes are part of nature. There are nine biomes in the world, which each biome is abiotic or biotic factor. so this year my classmates and I will be talking about biomes. Some examples of biomes are taigas, deserts, tundras, and tropical rain forests. Biomes are part of nature because they are ecosystems and animals live there.
DESERT
The desert, the desert is a biome which can be very hot during the day and very cold during the night. The deserts average annual of precipitation is less 25 centimeters. Deserts have a body of water which are oasis. Oasis are patches of underground water. Deserts also have plants, cacti. Cacti have spines and have water inside. One type of plant in the desert is the Barrel Cactus. Another type of plant in the desert are the Saguaro Cactus.
Tundra
The tundra, the tundra is close tu the north and south poles. The tundra's average annual temperature range is about ( -12 degrees Celsius ) . The average annual of precipitation in a tundra is about 25 centimeters. The vegetation is moos and grass, there are not many plants. In the tundra there aren't plants because it is very cold an plants freeze and die. Some animals that live in the tundra are migratory birds, caribou, polar bears, moose, arctic foxes, snowy owl, and penguins. The type of soil is permafrost which means bad soil, in which it is bad for vegetation and plants. A type of plant in the tundra are Arctic Moss.
Grasslands
Graslands, grasslands near to the equator and poles. Places near to the equator don't change very much, like the temperature, and seasons. The average annual of precipitation is about 25 - 75 centimeters. Vegetation in grasslands have wheat, trees, and absolutely many grass. Animals that live in the grasslands are kangaroos, impalas, foxes, giraffe, zebra, rhinos, snakes, and horses. The type of soil in the grasslands is fertile soil, which is good for planting and vegetation.
Tropical Rainforest
The tropical rainforest, tropical rainforest's is close to the equator. The average annual temperature is about ( 25 degrees Celsius ). The average annual of precipitation is about 25 -75 centimeters. The tropical rainforest vegetation is that it has variety of organisms, some of them can be like trees, moss, and fungi In tropical rainforests it rains a lot. Some animals that live there are lizards, snakes, and many many insects. A type of animal that lives in this habitat are Jumping Spiders. Another type of animal that lives in this biome are Frogs.
Temperate Deciduous Forest
The temperate deciduous forest, this biome is in the middle of the equator and poles. The average annual temperature range in winter is below ( zero deegres Celsius ) and in summer is about ( 30 deegres Celsius ) . The average annual of precipitation is about 75 - 150 centimeters. The type of vegetation in this biomes are evergreen trees. Animals that live here are white tail deer, foxes, and rabbits. The type of soil it is on this biome is good soil. A type of animal that lives in this biome are Chameleons.
Temperate rainforest
The Temperate Rainforest, Temperate Rainforest average annual temperature range is about ( -9- -12 deegres Celcius ) . The average annual of precipitation is about 200 - 400 centimeters. This biome vegetation is western red cedar, and net-liked trees. Scientist belief the temperate rainforest soil must be good. A type of animal that lives in this habitat are Jumping Spiders.
Taiga
The Taiga, Taiga are close to the poles. The snow there is about 35 centimeters to 100 centimeters. The Taiga's vegetation are trees mostly. Some type of animals that live there are shrews, moose, and lynx. The type of soil in the Taiga is thaw soil. A type of animal that lives in this biome are Earthworms. Another type of animal that lives in this type of biome are Bald Eagles.
